Rule 48

Minimum distance from floor to electric wire

:
(1) The distance between the electric wires of different voltages of the power distribution and transmission system and the ground should not be less than what is written in Schedule-12.
(2) If the power line has to be taken over the road and on the side of the road, a suitable technical approach should be adopted.
(3) If it is necessary to carry a line of voltage more than 33,000 volts, it should be carried at a distance of 0.305 meters for every 33,000 volts in the minimum distance specified for 33,000 volts mentioned in Schedule-12.
